Followed your directions to go thru your website and click on the Grain and salt icon. It gives an error message. Will not take you through to the site because of the error message. hhmm
So I went to the Grain and Salt Society website thru my browser and they do not carry the Syrian Pumpkin Seed Oil, they do carry an Austrian Pumpkin Seed Oil though.
Have been unsuccessful in locating the actual Styrian labeled oil. Have searched the web for quite some time now, today, with no avail.
Also Susan, I ordered your series of 6 DVD's and they are marvelous. The enclosed welcome letter states a 20% discount of products ordered thru the site, while the actual site states 10%. Please advise. Thanks for your help.
Sincerely,
Mary Anne

Hi Chris,

Yes, Stryian is a type of pumpkin seed. They grow at the base of the Austria alps and no where else. They are known to be very medicinal.....cool stories reamin about the kings hording them for their own powerful prostate health. All the peasant farmers were the healthiest so they realized it was the seeds they farmed and ate. Of course this was many many years ago.

They are larger than the pepitas or pumpkin seeds (grown for mass distribution) that you find in stores now. They are also a beautiful dark green full of powerful EFA's in their oil. The oil is worth the price and effort, as well as the seeds. I use the special Stryian seeds by grinding them in coffee grinder to make powder to top on salads, soups and even my special "Pumpkin Seeds Eggs Benedict". Enjoy!!

Aloha Chris, Nice to hear from you. I am so sorry you got a negative report about the food at your potluck. My not feeling well after had mostly to do with the fact that I was extremely exhausted from a marathon cooking gig I did for 7 days. I was over the top......nothing would have been good for me except bed! Your home is lovely and it was a stunning potluck.......delicious food and gracious people. Thank you for having me.

As for Pumpkin Seed oil you want to get Styrian Pumpkin Seed oil from Austria...You can order through my web site. On the Recommended Products page go to: Grain & Salt Society and click through. They have fabulous products and carry the Stryian Pumpkin Seed Oil. They also have the best salt going and many other products that are hard to find. Their Flower of the Ocean salt is to live for (pricey but worth it when using it only as a condiment - not in - only on top). As for the pumpkin seed oil, oh my......it is a powerful medicine, particularly for men's prostate health. It is divine on top of baked or steamed squashes or anything.

Please let me know if I can help you further. By the way, I am giving a class on Raw Pizza Thursday (the 26th) at 6:00 pm at Whole Foods. Come if you can!!

Aloha Susan,
This is Chris, John's friend in Kuau.
It was lovely meeting you the other night at the Pot luck. Sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well after the dinner. Yup it's tricky for me at pot lucks too many different food combinations going on.
You have a great website!
I was wondering where and what kind of pumpkin oil you use.
Did I miss it on your website?
It sounded yummy.
Hope to see you again soon.
aloha,
Chris
